Search for garage door installation cost and you'll find plenty of national average ranges, but few real numbers. That's not because companies are hiding something. Pricing a garage door replacement accurately requires knowing the exact opening dimensions, available sideroom and backroom, whether headroom is limited enough to require special low-headroom track hardware, the existing track radius, and the condition of the structure around the opening. Most homeowners can't measure or describe those details accurately over the phone, which is exactly why most companies, us included, need to see the opening before finalizing a number.
